In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, Novartis has partnered with the Heart Health India Foundation (HHIF) to establish India’s first cardiovascular patient organization.

In a quest to educate the public about Cardiovascular Disease prevention and management, Novartis and HHIF co-developed educational materials tailored to patient and caregiver needs and convened a panel of leading cardiologists to guide patient-centric initiatives. The partnership also championed localized patient charters with Global Heart Hub , the first global non-profit for CVD, spotlighting LDL-C as a critical modifiable risk factor.

A three-way collaboration between Novartis, HHIF and The Times of India also helped to bring heart health education to over 80 hospitals, engaging patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. Novartis also facilitated HHIF’s affiliation with the Asia Pacific CVD Alliance and supported a state-level MoU in Madhya Pradesh to integrate LDL-C screening into routine health checks—marking a significant step toward systemic change in cardiovascular care.
